Resolute, Adventurer & Genius

Resolute, Adventurer & Genius was created by Andrew Modro and Jason Cabral of Blue Hex. They took the system I designed for WR&M to the next level and created an awesome pulp roleplaying game. I acted as Wyrm system advisor and did the layout for the PDF you can now download for free from this site.

Resolute, Adventurer & Genius is a simple, lightweight roleplaying game of pulp-style action and adventure. Explore lost ancient ruins! Thwart the plans of evildoers and madmen! Face the mysteries of the unknown! This book contains the complete game rules, including character creation, combat, equipment and chase sequences as well as hints for playing pulp-style games in different decades, from the 1910s to the 1940s and beyond.

RAG is built on the Wyrm Roleplaying System and uses classic action-adventure fiction archetypes to help describe character capabilities. Players are not restricted to “classes” when designing their characters. By using attributes, skills and special talents, players are free to create whatever character concept they wish.

RA&G has been released in conjunction with Blue Hex (

  4. The link appears to go to Arcane Heroes instead of this. Might want to fix that 🙂

  5. Thanks for letting me know, Gerry. I fixed the link!

  6. It says I need permission to access now, so I can’t see the file

  7. It should be fixed now. Sorry.

  8. worked fine now; thanks!

  9. Kick Ass! My Unnamed Friend got a real charge out of this. He’s dusted off the Ravenwood Project, which he started for GURPS cliffhangers, and has been a truckload of fun to work on.

    Many Thanks.

  10. MUF flared out. Bipolar game designer. I guess someone else will have to finish the Raiders Diesel Punk setting.

  11. Any chance for an SRD version of this so that I can update it to a modern/lost room type game?

  12. At the moment no SRD version is planned, but since the game was released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-Share Alike license, you’re free to create derivative works as long as you don’t plan to make money from them.

  13. I was hoping for the files in odt format. Much easier than pdf for pulling out material.
